Sites and Sightlines

We are inviting new ways to explore our home communities and ecosystems, starting where we are: the University of Utah. As we immerse in overlooked sites and unmapped spaces, we are trying to listen to neglected stories in our midst.

Although this is a digital project, we hope that you will connect the dots in person through different walks that set up new sightlines. To get started, watch the videos. Or take an audio walk and listen to podcasts. Or get lost in our evolving map and follow different sightlines. In A Field Guide to Getting Lost, Rebecca Solnit writes: “the nature of which is totally unknown to you is usually what you need to find, and finding it is a matter of getting lost.” We also invite you to add your story: in collaboration with Torrey House Press.
